We gratefully accept any donation, large or small, and spend donations wisely to support us to continue our community-focused work.
One program that is currently in need of support due to a lack of funding is our Food Program.
The Food Program was developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the long lockdowns that were experienced in Melbourne. We expected that the program would slowly be wound back once lockdown restrictions were lifted, but we’ve found that there is still significant demand for this program as there are many people in our community experiencing food insecurity.
The Food Program can be accessed by any member of the community, without strict screening controls which might result in the exclusion of some vulnerable groups, such as members of the migrant or international student communities.
This program provides frozen means as well as essential pantry items and some fresh produce for individuals and families completely free of charge.
Most of the people who have benefitted from this program are people who are elderly, living with a disability, currently unemployed or who are otherwise vulnerable.
Since its inception, the Food Program has supported dozens of people each week. The dishes that we cook end up costing just a couple of dollars per meal, so your donation can make an impact no matter what the amount!
We’d like to thank you in advance for your support. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or queries.
