2026 Update on Community Pantry and Pop-Up Food Market

Dear community members,

We would like to share an important update about our Community Pantry and Pop-Up Food Market.

Our food relief program began during the pandemic as a way to respond to the immediate needs of people in our community who were doing it tough. What started as a small, practical response quickly grew into something much more. Over time, it has become a valued and consistent part of our organisation and a judgement-free space for receiving food relief.

Through this program, our community has accessed more than 15,500kg of food per year, and close to 600 meals each month (2024-2025 Annual Report ). This work has only been possible because of the generosity of our donors and partners, and the incredible dedication of our volunteers, who have given their time and energy to make it all happen.

It is with sadness that we let you know that we will be ceasing operations of both the Community Pantry and Pop-Up Food Market.

• The final Pop-Up Food Market will take place on 1 April
• The Community Pantry will remain available until 24 April

This is not a decision we have made lightly. As part of broader changes within the organisation, we have had to make some difficult choices, and unfortunately this means closing a program that has meant so much to all of us.

Please note:
These changes will not affect the Community Lunch held on Wednesdays. The Wednesday Community Lunch will still be running on Wednesdays from 12:00pm-1:00pm (during school terms).
