English Classes for Adults

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Our English classes are friendly and welcoming, classes require you to be present for three hours each week. Classes are taught by qualified EAL teachers (assisted by trained volunteers) and designed for those with basic skills or intermediate skills in English who would like to improve their reading, writing and speaking.

Term 1, 2019

Beginners: Wednesdays, 30 January – 3 April , 9.15am – 11.45am
Intermediate: Tuesdays, 29 January – 2 April , 9.15am – 11.45am

Cost per term for one class: $70/$40 concession or $120/$70 per term for one English class and one conversation class per week

English Conversation Group

This workshop is led by skilled EAL teachers and is designed for those with basic to intermediate skills in English who would like to practice speaking in a relaxed environment.

Thursdays, 31 January – 3 April, 9.15am -11.45am

Cost per term: $120/$70 concession (for 2 classes per week, including one of the above Beginners or Intermediate classes per week) or $70/$40 concession for the conversation class only

Please note: For students who have children, there is a possibility of Play and Learn English Program. This will run concurrently with the adult English classes, if there are sufficient numbers of children.

Enrolment forms can be either picked up from the House office, or downloaded and printed from EAL Course Enrolment Form 2018.

Play and Learn English Program (PALE)
This program runs concurrently with Adult English classes, Thursdays, 9:30am -11:30am
Free for children of English students
